In the March-April 2024 edition of "Let the Stones Speak" magazine, Christopher Eames proposed that the Egyptian administrator Senenmut was the Biblical Moses. In this video, we closely examine that claim to see if it holds water in light of the Biblical text and the archaeology of ancient Egypt. I had the idea that there were nephilim before and after because there were nephilim in the water (mermaids, mermen etc and they survived the flood) I think the angel-man nephilim is exactly correct because it is the simplest understanding of the text as it is written and explains the Ancient Greek, Norse and other mythologies… making the men of renown eg: Hercules ‘demigod’ etc) I believe fallen angels will again appear “as gods” (in the form of aliens) to try as the great deception to call themselves God to deceive men into following them… and to turn from the True God This theory here stated doesn’t make sense to me… why would it refer to “sons of men”… and later on in Jude…

The Bible does not teach eternal conscious bliss, but eonian life, because time will end at some point and God will be "all in all". That is not to say that life will end but it will no longer be measured in terms of time. Eonian life, eonian "fire". But God is love and ultimately mercy will triumph over judgment.

Yahweh is the Hebrew version of the one God. But l noticed that when asked about his "origins" (aside from over 15 billion years ago), you tend to refer to him as this other deity. We know the early Israelites viewed him as the great God of thunder of storm; depicted as the divine warrior (while their enemies viewed him as a minor desert god). And although that's not ontologically the case as you know, this tends to confuse some people. Would you mind elaborating on that in another vid?

The biblical contrast is eternal life vs death, not eternal bliss vs eternal torment. Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Mat 7:13-14 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

My wife is Vietnamese and taught me the true meaning of this commandment as you have also instructed in this video. Her culture puts an extreme emphasis on this commandment. It goes far beyond what we typically think it does. If you can't Honor your parents, you can't Honor the elderly and you won't Honor God and therefore you can't love God, which is the 1st commandment. Many Jews view the the first 5 as how to love God. The last 5 are seen as how to love others. I now beleive that the failure to obey the 5th commandment is one of the main reasons western society is spiraling out of control.

Yeah. My objections with leaving the church had very little to do with rejecting the "mythos" and a lot more to do with questioning the morality and conclusions. If a God created humanity to be flawed, then had to torture, kill and ressurect his own son to fix that... why exactly is that a leader we should follow? He's either a torturer at worst or an inneffective creator at best.

What's your view of IP's take on Job? IP posits that Job offering sacrifices in case his children sinned was a demonstration of his flawes view of God's justice and the line "Job did not curse God with his lips" meant he wad probably cursing God in his heart.

  • @tymmiara5967

What I always found bizarre is the author of the Book of Job's passion for writing down (and translating into poetic language) all those speeches only to then (after forty chapters) say that almost all of it is null and void because they did not represent God truthfully. Not to mention the fact that the author leaves almost every single issue hanging in the air. We have no idea what to make of Elihu. We have no answer to Job's questions. It isn't obvious whether we can consider Job's words as having authority, or should we just see them as a realistic description of the somewhat incoherent speech of a person in agony. (After all, he admits to having spoken without understanding. And yet, God tells his three friends that they haven't spoken what is right as his servant Job has) Plus we (in the 21st century) have some translation issues of our own. Like did Job repent in dust and ashes or was he comforted from dust and ashes?

For me all you should have to rely on is Scripture. Paul: all is out of God. (Through God and to God, also.) Isaiah: God creates evil. 45:7. He was a sinner FROM THE BEGINNING. 1 John 3:8. Ditto a liar and murderer. Genesis 1:1: In beginning. No article. 1:2: Per the Literal Concordant: As for the earth, it CAME TO BE a chaos and vacant. Isaiah 45:18: He did not create it a chaos. Thus, between Gen. 1:1 and 1:2, people allege a disruption (some kind of evil, sin) occurs, and then in 1:3 we get the beginning of His RE-creation with now humanity on the scene. A do-over, if you will. So it seems God begins the evil and sin in the first eon (which we know very little about), and brings the First Adam and his progeny on the scene in the second eon to deal with the problem of evil. Another failure and He floods all but eight out of existence. And then this third wicked eon, which we're still in, where He brings in His chosen people and the Second, Last Adam. I don't see humans in Psalm 82, but to Dr. Falk's advantage, I thought such spirit powers can't die and 82 speaks of them dying. But I definitely might be wrong because for me, not just the human side of His Son died on the cross. Side note: Some argue Lucifer is a mistranslation and invention of Jerome. Ditto such words as eternal and eternity. All is of the eons and eonian.

Your talk of amnesty is akin to probation and forgiveness, which can always be revoked. Paul's gospel is radically different: one of justification, NOT GUILTY!!! There's absolutely nothing to be forgiven of. You, in God's eyes while His Son was doing all that work on the cross. God was in Christ conciliating the world to Himself. And still is, until the tribulation kicks off. But members of the body of Christ are, once a member, always a member, for we were designated BEFORE the disruption of the FIRST world, and as such, are snatched away before Jacob's trouble begins. We are not appointed to experience His indignation. But Paul's gospel, really the gospel of the risen Christ, is as I said radically different from the gospel of Jesus. Two different gospels to two different groups: the Circumcisionists, Peter's people, the Jews and their proselytes, the bride of the Lambkin who have an eathly terrestrial destination and will help our Lord in both a priestly and political fashion bring earth's inhabitants to a subjection to God. And then there's Paul's people, of the nations, justified, not under law but under grace, with a celestial destination to help Him so bring ITS inhabitants under subjection to His Father. Or reconciliation. To not just be righteous in His eyes, but friends and members of His family. The two gospels. Gal. 2:7. As my teachers taught me: HUGE truth. Thee most correct cutting of His word with the cross of Christ right dab in the middle of this division.

The beginning of the cataclysm of evil, after it's been established the God creates it: Isaiah 45:7. To me it's in the beginning, before the RE- creation of the now second heaven and earth in Genesis 1:3. It's the occurs with the disruption of the FIRST heaven and earth marking the end of the first eon. And thus the proper translation of Genesis 1:2 is: As for the earth, it CAME TO BE a chaos and vacant, and darkness was over the surface of the abyss. But notice it really doesn't mention what came to be regarding the first heavens, tho He does seem to be referencing changes post-disruption in verse six when He writes of the atmosphere.

When Adam and Eve had children, whom did the children procreate with? This could also be considered incest with family members, but why is it not mentioned in Genesis as a sin but people think this is why Canaan was cursed. It is my belief that Hams wife had tainted nephilim genes which would continue this lineage post flood. Is it far off to think that perhaps Ham enticed his own wife to sleep with a drunken Noah? Was she trying to corrupt the seed that would be the lineage that Jesus came from. This seems to warrant such as curse as Canaan received.

Not directly. Some idols are without doubt demon worship, but by no means all. Some idols, simply put, are nothing at all. Zeus was said to be the king of the gods. Every pantheon had a king of the gods. No one in any culture thought they were worshipping the Devil by worshipping the local culture's king of the gods. Is it possible that the “heavens” in Genesis 1:1 refers to creating the space where the heavenly bodies are meant to exist, or does the grammar imply reference to all the heavenly bodies themselves?

  • @Thehaystack7999
    @Thehaystack7999 3 дні тому

It has always been my understanding that evil spirits/demons are of that 1/3 part of the host of heaven which followed the Devil and lost their first estate or habitation in the presence of God and were cast into the Earth as spirits to never obtain a body, they would like the Devil have power to tempt mankind but mankind has power over temptation and they only have what power or will we surrender to temptation. Also that the remaining host of heaven would be born onto the earth and receive a mortal body which is our second habitation. And when the resurrections will come to all but the glory of that resurrection is according to the laws of God which man chooses to live. I do not believe in “the devil made me do it.” I do not believe that the character of man will be changed like how our nature will be glorified to be in the presence of God. The attitude and character we develop here will be with us after albeit without the weight of mortal limitations and ailments. So I believe those beings with God in the beginning were each of us and the transgression in the Garden went on to fulfill a higher purpose of the immortality and eternal life of man through our Redeemer Jesus Christ. This I thought was universal understanding among Christians, its only in the past 20 years I have come to understand there is a diversity of beliefs of where we come from, why we are here and where we are going. Thanks for sharing!

Who could Joseph be in Egyptian history?

Well, David said Aperel lived for 50-ish years. Joseph lived for 110 years (though he holds it symbolically). So if there is a way to combine them, then sure Aperel could be Joseph.

@@marvalice3455 > It can be both at least once. It's not unreasonable at all Yes!!! This is called "amphiboly," and it is done frequently in Scripture. Ezek 28 starts out talking about the "king of Tyre" but you soon find out that the passage is also talking about the "serpent in the Garden." Hebrew writers easily switch between subjects and sometimes reference subjects simultaneously. Ps 82 is no different in that respect. It starts by talking about "the divine council" but switches to "human judges." It makes this switch moving deftly between subjects. This is not at all uncommon for Israelite literature.

02:55 - But "the Nephilim were in the earth those days, and also afterward" could still mean that they were destroyed in the Flood and appeared again after the flood after the angelic beings mated with humans a second time after the Flood. Then rumors and tales from surrounding regions of men who were demi-gods reemerged and spread again after the flood. This is just one of the conditions and "siuationships" that was present in Genesis chapters 4-6. Just because the angels did it once doesn't mean they couldn't do it again. Please note that the verses prior to the book of Numbers 13:32-33 in the "normal" report mentions superhuman-sized people; so, superhuman-sized people mentioned in Numbers 13:32-33 is not a complete lie. What inspired the "bad" report later in book of Numbers 13:32-33 was the fact that throughout Genesis and Deuteronomy there was a new rumor about the angelic beings mating with humans a second time. And the Nephilim's descendants went by other names this time besides sons of Anak. Throughout Genesis and Deuteronomy were described as being superhuman in size and being; that is, destroyed Adamites - heroes of old mythology. The "bad" report was "bad" not because it was entirely untrue but the way it was used as a fearmongering tactic. However, this also was a strategic way to build up a form of dehumanization the people of Canaan in order to destroy them in genocide.

      > 02:55 - But "the Nephilim were in the earth those days, and also afterward" could still mean that they were destroyed in the Flood and appeared again after the flood after the angelic beings mated with humans a second time after the Flood. Could be? How about what is true according to the evidence? The Biblical evidence tells us that the Nephilim were men. Angels had nothing to do with it. > Then rumors and tales from surrounding regions of men who were demi-gods reemerged and spread again after the flood. I hope you are not into believing rumors. Again, the evidence tells us that they were not demigods. > This is just one of the conditions and "siuationships" that was present in Genesis chapters 4-6. That's circular reasoning. You've just assumed your conclusion. > Just because the angels did it once doesn't mean they couldn't do it again. You never showed they did it the first time, and all the Biblical evidence is against that proposition. > Please note that the verses prior to the book of Numbers 13:32-33 in the "normal" report mentions superhuman-sized people; so, superhuman-sized people mentioned in Numbers 13:32-33 is not a complete lie. Which verses are those? And not even Numbers 13 connotes that the people were "superhuman-size," only that they are bigger. How much is bigger? 6ft tall vs 4 ft tall? The idea that these people were superhuman-sized is eisegesis. > What inspired the "bad" report later in book of Numbers 13:32-33 was the fact that throughout Genesis and Deuteronomy there was a new rumor about the angelic beings mating with humans a second time. That's an assumption not supported by the text. > And the Nephilim's descendants went by other names this time besides sons of Anak. That too is an assumption not supported by the text. > Throughout Genesis and Deuteronomy were described as being superhuman in size and being; that is, destroyed Adamites - heroes of old mythology. Pure fantasy. > The "bad" report was "bad" not because it was entirely untrue but the way it was used as a fearmongering tactic. If it was a bad (or unfavorable) report that was true, the writer would have used the term ra`a to indicate that. Instead, the writer uses the term dibbah which mean bad as in defamatory or lying. It was fear mongering, but it was fear mongering to prevent the Israelites from going into the Promised Land. > However, this also was a strategic way to build up a form of dehumanization the people of Canaan in order to destroy them in genocide. Not really. It's clear from the text that spies did their false report in order to prevent the nation from entering Canaan.
